Now science as a human enterprise has a lot of scientism mixed in with it, but it has some self-correcting mechanisms – people will publish awkward data that doesn’t fit, but that kind of correction mechanism is not as clear in spirituality, but it needs to be applied, we need an experimental spirituality, subject to revision, subject to a feeling that, ok, this is the way we believe the world to be based upon our deep spiritual experiences but that is not the holy word of God for all eternity, that’s our best formulation for now, and we’re always looking for more and being open to things like that, that’s what we need, that’s what we very much need!
Is free will an illusion?

walk, a destiny marked out for him by an infinitely
wise and good power, which governs all things? A. Yes, I believe so. I
believe that we are just as much the creatures of destiny as
this world is. It performs its revolutions in perfect

and omnipotent will of our own; but, after all, it is

2011: Mellon-Thomas Benedict's near-death
experience is one of the most dramatic ever recorded. During his
time in the Light, as Benedict reports, he asked many questions; one
of them, "What's the plan [of the universe]? And
the Light just lovingly laughed and said, 'There is no plan, there
never was! You were given this universe to make of it what you will,
and you are free to do that!' And so, what's really important is not
what God wants you to do, but Life's only meaning is the one you
give to it!" The answer Benedict received is not about
minimizing or disrespecting God - it's about growing up and taking

Earth has survived everything in its time!
"You think man can destroy
the planet? What intoxicating vanity. Let me tell you about
our planet. Earth is four-and-a-half-billion-years-old.
There's been life on it for nearly that long, 3.8 billion
years. Bacteria first; later the first multicellular life,
then the first complex creatures in the sea, on the land. Then
finally the great sweeping ages of animals, the amphibians,
the dinosaurs, at last the mammals, each one enduring millions
on millions of years, great dynasties of creatures rising,
flourishing, dying away -- all this against a background of
continuous and violent upheaval. Mountain ranges thrust up,
eroded away, cometary impacts, volcano eruptions, oceans
rising and falling, whole continents moving, an endless,
constant, violent change, colliding, buckling to make
mountains over millions of years. Earth
has survived everything in its time. It will certainly survive
us. If all the nuclear weapons in the world went off at once
and all the plants, all the animals died and the earth was
sizzling hot for a hundred thousand years, life would survive,
somewhere: under the soil, frozen in Arctic ice. Sooner or
later, when the planet was no longer inhospitable, life would
spread again. The evolutionary process would begin
again. It might take a few billion years for life to regain
its present variety. Of course, it would be very different
from what it is now, but the earth would survive our folly,
only we would not. If the ozone layer gets thinner,
ultraviolet radiation sears the earth, so what? Ultraviolet
radiation is good for life. It's powerful energy. It promotes
mutation, change. Many forms of life will thrive with more UV
radiation. Many others will die out. Do you think this is the
first time that's happened? Think about oxygen. Necessary for
life now, but oxygen is actually a metabolic poison, a
corrosive glass, like fluorine. When oxygen was first produced
as a waste product by certain plant cells some three billion
years ago, it created a crisis for all other life on earth.
Those plants were polluting the environment, exhaling a lethal
gas. Earth eventually had an atmosphere incompatible with
life. Nevertheless, life on earth took care of itself. In the
thinking of the human being a hundred years is a long time. A
hundred years ago we didn't have cars, airplanes, computers or
vaccines. It was a whole different world, but to the earth, a
hundred years is nothing. A million years is nothing. This planet lives and breathes on a much vaster
scale. We can't imagine its slow and powerful rhythms, and we
haven't got the humility to try. We've been residents here for
the blink of an eye. If we're gone tomorrow, the earth will
not miss us."
David Pratt: Despite the widespread resistance to viewing crop formations as anything other than a man-made joke, they have left an indelible mark on our culture. Their stunning beauty, geometrical grace, multicultural symbolism and mysterious origins seem intended to intrigue, enchant and inspire us. There appears to be a creative intelligence behind the majority of crop formations, but one which prefers to remain anonymous, and to leave anyone who is paying attention to draw their own conclusions, like some sort of intelligence test or intuition test… Colin Andrews has said that ‘crop circles are giving us all a spiritual nudge, a push towards the higher aspirations of peace and enlightenment.’
"Mark Hill Formation," Milk Hill, Wiltshire, 12 August 2001. The largest, possibly the most complex, crop pattern of all time, 800 feet across, consisting of 409 circles.
"Julia Set," Stonehenge, Wiltshire, 7 July 1996. This 115-metre-wide spiral of 151 circles appeared in broad daylight in full view of a busy road, just opposite Stonehenge, within a 15-minute time-window (according to testimony from pilots, a farmer, a security guard, and motorists calling the police). A professional surveying engineer said it would take him about two full days to lay out the design.
“Sun wheel,” 350 feet across. Controversially appearing over two consecutive nights at Silbury Hill, Wiltshire on 2-3 August 2004, according to resident 2012 prophecy expert and numerical conundrum whiz Geoff Stray, this vast wheel of ancient Maya symbols included “the double square spiral - the Maya symbol for jaguar snouts, which indicates an entrance to the underworld”. Given that, as is now widely known, the Maya calendar indicates an end-of-time point in the year 2012, this gave the UK newspapers something to get their teeth into, the Daily Mail dubiously proclaiming it “The Doomsday Crop Circle.”
The "Arecibo Reply"

The Arecibo reply was the name given to a crop circle that appeared in farmland next to the Chilbolton radio telescope; home to the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI) in Hampshire, UK, on tuesday 21 August 2001. The design is so named because it appears to be a response to the Arecibo message, which SETI transmitted into space in 1974. The crop circle design features two images. The first, estimated to be about 100 by 150 feet based on comparison with the 25-meter Chilbolton dish, is a pixelated halftone representation of a humanoid face. The second image, estimated to be about 80 by 220 feet, resembles the original Arecibo message though changed in a number of key elements, said by Ufologists to be a reply sent to Earth by an alien species.[1] The original Arecibo message was transmitted as a three trillion watt broadcast from the Arecibo radio telescope in Puerto Rico. The message was sent in a very narrow beam towards a globular cluster known as M13, 25,100 light years away. It was a pictogram arranged in a matrix of 23 pixels by 73 pixels. It was intended to describe our numbering system, the building blocks and formulas for DNA, the double helix of DNA, the shape and size of a human being, the layout of our solar system, and the radio telescope that sent the message. The crop formation looked very similar to the Arecibo message but with several variations. Below the dot pattern for our numbering system, the crop formation had an additional pattern that indicated the atomic number of silicon in addition to the hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and phosphorus numbers. Instead of a double helix symbol of DNA, the crop formation depicted three sets of diagonal lines. Instead of a depiction of a human being, as presented in the Arecibo message, the crop pattern had a different depiction of a humanoid form. This new image showed a body with two arms and legs like humans, but the head was much larger. The height of the crop formation’s body was indicated as being a little taller than half the height of a human. The dot pattern in the crop formation indicated a population that was almost six and a half billion larger than our own. The Arecibo message depicted the 9 planets around the Sun with the symbol for Earth raised above the rest to indicate where humanity lives. Earth’s dot was also located directly below the depiction of man. In the crop formation, there were three symbols that were raised above the rest, possibly indicating three populated planets in that solar system. At the very bottom of both formations, there are distinctly different dot patterns. The Arecibo message had a depiction of the telescope that sent the message with an indicated size of 2,430 feet. The crop formation had a depiction of something else with a size of 6,748 feet. This shape was depicted even more clearly in a 2000 Chilbolton crop circle.

As most of you will now be aware, the most extraordinary crop glyphs appeared in land next to a government-run radio telescope at Chilbolton in Hampshire, August 2001. Due to the nature of the sensitive equipment on site, it seems inconceivable that high levels of security would not be in place, including state of the art CCTV, but a contact of Colin Andrews says the fields were not covered. Researchers are trying to establish whether anyone on duty, (and it’s manned 24 hours a day) saw anything. Judging by past situations, I doubt if co-operation will be forthcoming. So, what do we actually have here? We have a definite face, and we have what appears to be a reply to a message sent on 16 November 1974, from the Arecibo radio telescope in Puerto Rico. Though it was first thought that both of these images arrived the same night, 19th August 2001, in fact workers report that the face was spotted on August 14th and that the ‘code’ arrived “several days” later. 2) THE FACE The construction of the face is incredible! It’s constructed using a technique called ‘half tone’ (this is how newspaper images are constructed), whereby varying sized circles or dots are used to make up the image. The dark areas are, in fact, the standing crop, and the light areas are the flattened crop; it’s a ‘negative’. The dots have been arranged in such a fashion that the ‘light’ appears to be coming from the top left hand corner, and the dots create the shadows, which make up the overall perceivable shape. Though the actual light was coming from the bottom right corner when Steve Alexander’s much publicised picture was taken [though it has been turned upside-down to show the face – Steve was not aware that it was a face when photographing it], due to the ingenious method of design it APPEARS to be illuminated from the top left hand corner (you can see shadows on the top left of each standing dot, being cast by the dots, confirming the direction of sunlight). According to Richard C. Hoagland, famous for his ‘Martian monuments’ investigations, this is “Super Sophisticated Optical Engineering, on the scale of a wheat field”. Different people have come to varying conclusions with regards to the identity of the face. Some say ET, some say the face on the Turin shroud [some say Posh Spice!], others say, and I tend to agree with them, that it represents our human ancestry, ie. the way we perhaps used to look. It would appear that the face has a protruding forehead, deeply set eye sockets, defined cheekbones, a nose and mouth. 3) THE ARECIBO MESSAGE In 1974, the SETI project (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) decided to create a message that would be beamed out into space from Earth. Frank Drake and Carl Sagan designed a message using binary information, the language of computers. This is a series of 1’s and 0’s / Yes and No’s / On and Offs. The design was a rectangular shape, about three times as tall as it was wide, and when all the 1’s and 0’s were in place it created a crude schematic diagram. It was made up of 1679 bits of information, which was the unique sum of two prime numbers multiplied. These numbers were 23 and 73. ie. 23 x 73 = 1679. The reason for this approach was to ensure that the message could only be arranged one way. The signal was beamed out into space from the famous Arecibo radio telescope towards the star cluster M13 on November 16th 1974. Why this area was chosen is not known. Hoagland and the team he works with, Paul Vigay, who has done an astounding job on this, as well as ‘The Circlemakers’ web team, who have contributed valuable information. My conclusion so far is that this is REAL! I also agree with the American Broadcaster Art Bell, who states that whatever else this means, he and his audience almost down to a person, feel that it means SOON - something will happen soon. Richard Hoagland thinks it means REAL SOON, before the end of the year 2001. One thing is certain, we have entered a different mode of crop formation that we can actually decode, and understand. One last point. The Arecibo reply is linked to the massive Milk Hill formation by the fact that it has 409 circles, which is a prime number! Whatever does or doesn’t happen, I think it is now fair to assume that we are not alone, and I for one think that in August 2001, the world started on an unstoppable route of change. The Mystery of UFOs

that sources at the space agency who had had contact with aliens
described the beings as 'little people who look strange to us.' He said supposedly real-life ET's were similar
to the traditional image of a small frame, large eyes and head.
Chillingly, he claimed our technology is "not nearly as
sophisticated" as theirs and "had they been hostile", he warned "we
would be been gone by now". Dr Mitchell, along with with Apollo 14
commander Alan Shepard, holds the record for the longest ever moon
walk, at nine hours and 17 minutes following their 1971 mission. "I happen to have been privileged enough
to be in on the fact that we've been visited on this planet
and the UFO phenomena is real ," Dr. Mitchell said. "It's been well covered up by all our
governments for the last 60 years or so, but slowly it's
leaked out and some of us have been privileged to have been
briefed on some of it.
"I've been in
military and intelligence circles, who know that beneath the
surface of what has been public knowledge, yes - we have been
visited.

Science degree in aeronautical engineering and a Doctor of Science

Victor Zammit reports, 9-15-11: ADMIRAL ROSCOE HILLENKOETTER, the first director of the CIA, stated in the New York Times in 1959, "These UFOs are interplanetary devices systematically observing the earth." Admiral Hillenkoetter said that "behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about the UFO's. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense," the retired admiral said. He charged that "to hide the facts, the Air Force has silenced its personnel through the issuance of a regulation."

What is the significance of 2012?
May 25, 2011, Editor's note: It's not a doomsday event. Sensationalists have tried to suggest as much; even so, 2012 just might be very important for the whole world! What did the Mayas know anyway? Well, they did know that the universe is about 15 billion years old; they invented the "zero," a mathematical triumph for which much of civilization would need to wait another thousand years; and Mayan calenders still predict lunar eclipses within seconds of their appointed times - so maybe they knew something about 2012, too. They said that 2012 marked an end of a 26,000 year cycle, representing a certain galactic alignment of our solar system with the center of the Milky Way. Modern astronomers have confirmed the Mayas' calculations! This sounds impressive to me as one who gets lost trying to make his way downtown. The most comprehensive discussion of this issue, I think, will be found in this video. It's a bit lengthy, but a good investment of time.
